Every Saturday, a newsletter from this site plops into my e-mail inbox. It's worth a visit to Michael Quinion's site, where he investigates "international English from a British viewpoint." There are weekly additions to "weird words" and "turns of phrase," questions answered, book reviews; heaven for the true word maven.

World Intellectual Property Organization

With an interface in English, French, and Spanish, the "WIPO is responsible for the promotion of the protection of intellectual property throughout the world through cooperation among States, and for the administration of various multilateral treaties dealing with the legal and administrative aspects of intellectual property." Intellectual property includes Industrial Property and Copyright; the site addresses the issues form an international point of view.

International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use

Regulatory authorities from Japan, Europe, and the United States, together with pharmaceutical industry representatives, work to "achieve greater harmonisation in the interpretation and application of technical guidelines and requirements for product registration in order to reduce or obviate the need to duplicate the testing carried out during the research and development of new medicines."
